Top 5 Ways To Make Extra Money

It's hard to save money if you're not making money. There are many creative ways to make extra money, but i narrowed them down to the best 5 ways to do it. You never should try to get rich quick schemes. They just don't work! You have to "keep it real" and do it the hard way.

Remember, the harder you work now at a younger age, the more you will have in your future. If you want to succeed in your financial future, you must do hard work at some point in your life. And if you wait until you get older to do it (by wasting your 20s), the harder it becomes later in life to do that work. This includes:

• Going to college and getting a degree

• Getting a career (a real career, not a manager at the movie theater)

• Starting your own business

"If you work hard... really really hard... at a young age (18-24)... you will succeed."

I cannot stress this enough. Understand this information before you read the Top 5 Ways To Make Extra Money.

These are in NO PARTICULAR ORDER.

ways to make extra money #5 - Offer Personal Services

This can be anything from offering to mow someone's lawn to tutoring your younger next door neighbor. What are you good at? Do you have any special talents? Are you capable of doing simple chores? Be creative with these ideas.

One of my old friends used to cut his friends' hair for $5. He soon had his own client base of about 20 people who would go to his apartment and get a hair cut every month. Including me!

Don't be afraid to think outside the box, but remember that you have easy options that mostly anyone can do. Babysitting is a very popular option, especially for girls (people seem to hire more girl babysitters). I've seen many college students make some serious extra money babysitting.

Another idea would be to acquire a skill. For example, go out and get a life guard license. I'm sure you can find classes for this really easily using the internet. You can do a Google Search to help find more information. Don't limit yourself to life guarding. Local hospitals may be looking for people to help out, although you may find yourself doing community service, and you're looking for ways to make extra money.

One of the easiest ways to make extra money is just doing something you're good at and using it to help other people. Remember to work hard at it too. Who knows... You may start an idea towards the next best Big Business. You can do it if you put your mind to it!

#4 - Get A Serving Job

Serving tables may not be the most glorifying job, but the hours are usually flexible, and during the summer, business is great! Making tips (if you have never done it before) is a very different lifestyle. You almost always have cash on you, so you have to be careful not to spend it.

The advantages of having cash on hand are you don't need a credit card as much. Credit cards are an easy way to pile up debt, but you can manage them properly. Click here to learn how to manage credit cards better.
If you have never served before, it's not too hard. Different restaurants will have different systems and styles, but for the most part, they're all the same. Learn the menu. Learn the computer system. Be friendly with your tables. You will make more money the harder you work at it (just like everything else). But don't worry, because it's one of the easiest ways to make extra money!

There are some downsides to restaurants. You have to claim your tips (but you don't have to). This messes with your taxes. You have to claim at LEAST all the tips you made from credit cards.

If you decide to claim your cash tips also, your taxable income increases, so if you only claim your credit card tips, your taxable income will decrease.

This is good, however, remember that the amount you claim shows up on your paychecks, and if in the future you want to buy a car or get an apartment, they will request to see your pay stubs. If you don't show that you make enough money, they may not let you buy a car or lease an apartment.

#3 - Get A Job In Your Field Of Study

OK, this is not the easiest thing to do. But it is one of the best ways to make extra money AND solidify your career skills. The job you will have will most likely be something clerical or administrative (secretary or data entry work).

For example, students majoring in nursing would be wise to get a clerical job at a hospital. You will develop a medical understanding that solidifies the information you will learn in nursing class. By working in your future field, you get a feel for the jargon and the atmosphere that you can expect when you begin your real career.

By learning more information and working hard in your classes, you will develop strong skills that future employers are looking for. This can give you a competitive edge in your field. Just be aware that not all jobs will offer these types of opportunities.

Some places offer unpaid internships, but if you're looking for ways to make extra money, this won't do. But internships are another great way to guarantee success in your future field. Just make sure you research it carefully so you know exactly what you are getting in to.

#2 - Paid Online Surveys

I have done a lot of research and I have thought much about including Online Surveys on this list of ways to make extra money. I am not often one to recommend something of this nature (because many paid online surveys are scams or hoaxes). But I found one site that I feel comfortable recommending.

If you have a little extra money saved up, this could be a good investment to make some money online. It will cost you $69 to set up an account, but you can easily make it back. This is why it is one of the best ways to make extra money.

It's called Paid Surveys Etc. (Click here for more details). If you want to make lot of extra money (about $25-$35 a survey), then you could benefit from the survey lists that they offer. It may seem like spam, but ignore their marketing tools. All you need to know are the facts (which are at the bottom of the page).

Be aware! This is not for getting rich quick! You must work for about 2 hours a day filling out surveys. This is a realistic opportunity for making EXTRA money. You will not be able to earn a full-time income forever from doing paid surveys, but you can use it as a way to add a ton of cash to your current income stream.

#1 - Build A Website

Some ways to make extra money are harder than others. Building a website is no easy task, trust me. You may find websites and advertisements saying it is really easy, but building a website is tough work.

You are essentially building a business. You have to build content, market it well, and sell your idea or product at a high level. Some more simple ways to make money online besides building a website would be doing paid surveys. or writing Blogs for money. My brother is signed up with a few different web services that let you write personal articles and blogs, and every time someone clicks to read it, you get paid 50 cents. So if your information has much quality and gains popularity, you have an opportunity to make pretty good money.

My advice is to build a website with your information. Although writing blogs is one of the easier ways to make extra money online, building a website gives you the ability to change every aspect of any page you want to write. You're in complete control.

To build a website, you must get a domain name and pay for hosting. This ranges depending on who you get to host your site. The cheaper web hosts don't offer much to you. They give you a limited amount of space usually. The more space you want, the more you have to pay.

Before you start looking in to how to build a website, think about your idea(s) carefully. Organize a list of ideas you have, and try to make them things you are passionate about. If you are going to build a website, you have to be passionate about your topic, otherwise your audience will not be interested. I am passionate about helping people manage their money! It's my calling.

Once you have organized a list of 5 ideas, seek feedback on the internet. It's easy to find out which idea will be more popular. Do a Google Search or go to Amazon.com and research what ideas are making money online already. Amazon often has lists of the most popular searches. You will be able to see, right away, if your idea is profitable.

As I said, building a website is not easy work. It will take patience to build traffic and it will take a lot of determination to finish. You may not see any money for months after you begin. But after you start building, I'm telling you, it's a great feeling to see your work on the web!
